Click, click saddle up see you on the moon then is the culmination of a year’s investigation into the artist’s family archive of photographic prints. The exhibition content is centered on a psychological space, created by a site-specific installation of sound, sculpture and interrogation mirror. Working with the theme of paradox, Miserendino creates a space of self-contradiction through these structures, calling attention to memory, perception (philosophy of mind), and empathy.
Installation includes:
- Interrogation mirror, 2016, site specific installation 35’ x 10’ (unique)
- One-way conversation, 2015, re-engineered Amphenol phone with sound, individual chair and side table. (unique)
- Not taken, 2016, sculpture of approximately 5,000 photos from the artist’s family archive. (unique)
